A. Lange & Sohne 116.025 wrist watches news:
Hi to all the members here. I am relatively new to this forum but not new to Rolex. I currently own a Z series 16710(coke), Z series 116713LN, K series 16610, T series 16220. My wife a D series 178271 and a T series 79174.I have a question that maybe some of you can help me out with.I brought my Z series 16710 over to Rolex Hong Kong for servicing today, to get a replacement crystal(large scratch and chips), case buffing and and early servicing. Purchased the watch in Sept 2006.It came with the Red and Black bezel. I inquired to the service lady about changing the bezel to the all black. She said they would not do it because the serial number indicates that this is a Red/Black combo and not the all black, therefore they could not do it because the watch would now be a different part number. She told me my watch was a part number 16710 T ST.....I know many of you that have a 16710 have changed to an all black bezel. My question is was this done at a Rolex service center or an AD? Where
Fellows,I have a watch with a case very much like a Speedmaster and would like to swap out the fixed bezel for an NOS one. In searching the forum, I see plenty of threads about PO bezel changes, but none about Speedmaster bezel. At this point, I've gotten the old bezel off (the watchmaker appears to have fixed it with glue) and wonder if there is a trick to fitting the new one. I can glue it as well as the next guy, but surely this is not the way the factory did it. Or did they? Can any of you [please point me to the correct resource? Much appreciated.
Hey guys & gals,I had a couple questions I'm hoping someone can help with.. 1)When did the 18K Submariner get solid center links in the bracelet? Is there a reference # 'cut-off' for the old vs. new bracelet?2)When did the 18K YAcht-Master get solid center links, or was it the same time as the 18k Sub? 3)When did the President bracelet get solid center links (or has it always had solid links on the president bracelet)? Again, is there a model # that would be the cutoff or was it a month & year? Thanks everyone!
A group of guys in Poland have joined together and resurrected the G. Gerlach watch company. I read about them first on another watch forum, and as I am of Polish ancestry I knew I had to try one of their offerings. The ORP Sokol is the namesake of a WWII Polish submarine that, along with the ORP Dzik were nicknamed the "Terrible Twins".It looks great, fits great, and is reasonably priced. It probably wont be my last watch from the "Old Country". The specifications are as follows:Specification:Automatic movement SeaGull ST 2551 with hacking and handwindingPower reserve: 45hFrequency: 21.600 bpsStainless steels case 316LCase diameter: 42mmHigh: 15mmLug to lug: 55mmWater Resistant 200mSapphire crystalLuminous Hands and MarkersGenuine leather strap 22mm, steel buckleWooden watchcaseG.
