Chopard Chopard 8119 wrist watches news:
This is my first post, and I really need advice on my watch. It's a Seamaster Professional 200M Quartz. This is the only thing I've ever bought in a duty-free. In 1990 it cost me the grand sum of $369. That was a lot for a starving college student.Over the years I've had the battery changed, but never took it in for a real servicing. It's a shame because this is such a comfortable watch. I also like that you don't see so many of them out there. It's rare for me to run into anyone wearing the same watch. Can I save my Seamaster? The bezel is faded. It needs new hands. The face is dirty and no longer glows. The crown probably needs a new seal. The bracelet needs to be buffed.Any ideas would be welcome. Thanks!
Hey BWF. I figured I would share my transformation and collection as it has evolved from my start on this forum.I was feeling a little bored today and I thought the best way I could put my time to use would take some pictures of my ever growing collection for your viewing enjoyment. I have a few others, one of particular enjoyment that is in my friend Jesse's (Omega 564) shop getting an overhaul. So without further ado, my collection for your enjoyment. My how it has grown in the year I've known you all. Thank you all so much for your help, guidance, and constant comments that keep me coming back each and every day.Maurice Lacroix - Jours RetrogradeBreitling - Colt NavimeterGevril GV2 - Limited Edition TonneauGevril GV2 - Stadium Dive WatchBoschett - Reef RangerGruen - 1960's AlarmHere is my favorite part of the collection Waltham - 1970's DiveOrient - Multi EyesTo the respect of Barry and Bill:Gruen - SpiderBenrusBenrus - Three StarBenrus - Rose GoldCitizen - StilettoCitizen - Calibre
Any reason why one "should" be better than the other?I'm looking at 2 different GMT watches and one has the 2836-2 (Aeronautic GMT) and the other has the 2893-2 (Debaufre GMT Ocean 1). The 2893-2 is about $150 more in price (about $500 vs. $650).For me, I think I like the look of the 2836-2 watch better so I may have answered my own question but I wanted an opinion on one movement vs. the other.Thanks.
My new Speedy Pro was just delivered. Just waiting for a strap. I think it goes great with it's mate. Thanks to Fr. John and Jim and Continental.
Panerai's with sweep second hands are quite unusual with the brand. Normally when Panerai's show seconds it is a subdial. I noticed recently that the 63 has sweep seconds that work full time. I've seen some of the chronographs look like they might have sweep seconds but unless you examine them up close it is hard to tell.Other than the 63 and chronographs are there any Panerai's that have sweep second hands? Please respond if you know of any and I would love to see any pictures. Thanks much.
