Omega 123.10.27.20.55.001 wrist watches news:
As some of you know, I just got my 1965 GMT Master back from the shop last fall after a complete overhaul. Its been running about 5 minutes fast over a month and I've been adjusting it to try to zero in on the daily time gain. Today, as I was adjusting it, I unscrewed the crown and pulled it out to the stop but it didn't stop - it kept on coming out! The whole stem pulled out! And it doesn't seem to want to go back in and seat. I guess this calls for it to be shipped to NY tomorrow but it disappoints me, this is the first time that has ever happened. It will certainly be repaired under warranty but, still, that's inexcusable. Any ideas out there why this happened. Thanks.
I was at a GTG some time back, and encountered several UN's in person. The quality of the watches impressed me, they were finished impeccably, and they just looked superb. Many of the models have in house movements, others still, have highly reworked versions of ETA calibres. Please post your UN pics and thoughts.--------------------------------------------------------------------------Ulysse Nardin¡¯s story1846 Ulysse Nardin established the company of the same name in Le Locle, after serving his apprenticeship first under his father, L¨¦onard-Fr¨¦d¨¦ric, then under William Dubois, a specialist manufacturer of marine chronometers and astronomical watches.1862 Ulysse Nardin was awarded the Prize Medal at the World¡¯s Fair in London in the complicated watches and pocket chronometers category.1876 Ulysse¡¯s son Paul-David Nardin took over the family firm. I hate it when I go on this forum or any other watch related site and there is a memeber or someone showing a watch I hated one minute and then fall in love with the second time I see it. For example this past Tuesday I was at a casino in uncasville connecticut I happened too walk in the Lux bond and green jewlery store of course they have the typical Rolex, Breitling, Movado, and Tag. But when I saw the red dial two eyed chronograph Ferrari by Panerai I feel in love with it, I even asked the sales women who was really nice and friendly which watch would she rather have the two-tone rolex submariner with the black dial or the red dial panerai I was looking at she did tell me she would rather have the Rolex only because it will hold it's value more that too me I can care less. Well it's been three days and I still can't stop thinking of the Ferrari by Panerai that I saw this past tuesday and I know I can not afford one. So my question is do you guy's ever feel the same way I do. P.S. so
hi my friends, its been a while since last time i post, that was cuz i was enjoying my timepieces and had no interest in buying some new watches.but now, my young spirit [24 years] was crying out loud for a sporty watch, and this one was the one, from my favorite watchmaker i present you my new Timepiece, a TagHeuer Formula 1 [44mm]yes, i know, quartz, well let me tell you that after being crazy about automatics, now i love quartz, u all know the benefits of a Q watch.don't have to tell you about the watch, its perfect, the quality from Tag is always topnotch, also the lume is quite great for a racing watch and all the detailing on the dial is just perfect. still don't understand a thing about using the chrono but i really don't care as i can use the bezel for that. sorry for the crappy pics, they were taken with my phone!comments please!!!
I was hoping to get your thoughts on the 3800. I am absolutely mesmerized by the look of the Nautilus. Nautilus is without a doubt a timepiece I would love to own.I was wondering what people's thoughts were on how it would look on a 6.5 inch wrist? I have never had a chance to try one on in person and due to its asymmetric design I have trouble comparing it to other watches. For example I find that the 34 inch Air King wears too small on my wrist, while I am fine with my 36 inch Tudor Day Date. Any opinions (or even pics) would be much appreciated.
