Beater/Good Watch Situations
We talk of wearing a beater watch for certain occasions (mowing the lawn, working on the car, etc.). So I'm curious (and please forgive me if this has been posted before)...Has anyone ever been in a situation where they're not wearing a beater but one of their "good" watches and thought "I should have worn my beater!!"? I just wanted to share what happened to me today. I was attending a special lunch for a chicago luxury magazine. When we were allowed in to eat a gentleman from a prominent luxury men's boutique shouts across our table Hey! I want to sit by the man with the Audemars!. I was wearing my 15300. This took me by surprise as I have never had anyone comment or even acknowledge any of my Rolex's. We chatted about fashion and watches and enjoyed a wonderful lunch. hey guys i ordered a Breitling Gmt about 3 weeks ago and i was told it will be about 3 weeks till they get it (Alan Furman). i called them up yesterday and they said it will take another 2-4 weeks. is this normal?

My AD is low on inventory
Went to my local AD today.....my goodness, they do not have much inventory. The salesman was telling me that Rolex hasn't been sending as many watches to the US this year. Is this true??
