Chopard 168992-3031 wrist watches news:
I haven't owned a new watch in quite some time and I am now in the market. I stumbled upon this website while researching various brands and was impressed the wealth of information.I am in my mid 20s and a driving enthusiast (weekend track days, etc). I've tried to break down what I'm looking for:Budget: up to $1000.00Styles: Omega Speedmaster, Tag Heuer Carrera CalibreBrand: European, not JapaneseI realize that some of the Citizen Eco-drives fit within these some of these criteria, however I would prefer something that if I go out to dinner the guy at the table next to me doesn't have one.If I could afford a Tag or an Omega, I would pick up the listed above. However I need to find something under the budget.Any opinions on Tissot as a good choice?Thank you in advance!
Just got this piece delivered today. Sorry for the photo quality I only have an iPhone to work with.
HiI just bought the new diver strap, and usually I wear it on the second pin, now I put my watch for few hours in the Watch box, which is not so high quality, and i notice now the rubber got bigger?? on the second pin its like wearing on the 3rd pin. Is there any solution? or way to avoid? Now Pin 1 is too small, and pin 2 is big as well. Do i need to buy a new strap ? ?
I just came across a couple fun things this morning while having my coffee.First, Robert Jan over at Fratellowatches blog just put up a really good overview of 60yrs of the Speedmaster. It gives a great picture and brief description of the various iterations and how they came to be. The second item of note: Hodinkee will be live streaming at 7pm ET tonight with Omega. Here is a quote from their description of tonight's event-Quote:
Fellas, heres a vid from Hodinkee about the 175th Anniversary auction for Patek. Interesting video as always from Hodinkee.Enjoy! There are some fantastic pieces here
