OKHers is a mint 9kt 1929 Rolex Oyster. Wilsdorf patented the 'oyster' case in 1926.It is generally accepted that this invention was the turning point from pocket watch to wrist watch in 1927.By 1931 wristwatch sales overtook pocket watchesHere is mineActually, I can not wear these rare vintage watches in Spain, by day, the heat and humidity is to extreme.RegardsA
One would think a couple of millimeters here or there would not be that big of a deal but I have found that a watch that is not 40mm causes my brain to go locoso much so that I am putting up for sale a really nice watch that is 42mm. Has anyone else found themselves in such a state where they own a really nice watch but the size is off for them yet there is no rational reason to have such a perception? I recall starting out in the world of watches thinking 38mm would be the max and was able to get to 40mm but somehow my brain cannot get to 42mm.

I know the watches are very different, but lately the Omega dark side of the moon has really caught my eye, and really conflicted as to whether I should sell my 233K dot dial to fund it. I consider the 233 to be one of Panerai's modern classics, and my only manual wind watch. But the DSotM is just so well constructed, and I really like the all ceramic construction (including pushers, crown, and dial), and both the polished and brushed effects on the watch. It also has a great in-house movement, just like the 233.Unfortunately I can't keep the 233 and get the DSotM, so if you are in my position, would you sell the 233? Appreciate everyone's input and thoughts. Will also post in the Omega sub-forum to see how the reactions differ
