A wonderful gift and a sigh of relief .............
A special friend and Watch lover that I met thru this hobby just sent me a wonderful gift. His name is James DeBruin and he's a Major in the CanadianArmy, just back from active combat duty. We corresponded while he was deployed and I prayed daily for his safe return. This was the best Christmas present I could have received and the only one (his return) that i was really hoping for.Here's the gift (Pennant) and the letter that came with it ..............God Bless all who serve !Kurt: Thank you for confirming that it has arrived. The camo backdrop was the idea of my Company Sergeant-Major. The camo panel is taken from an actual arid pattern combat uniform in-theatre (it was washed first!). My Sergeant-Major is a class act and kept me sane through 7.5 months of pretty intense operations in Kandahar Province.Traditionally, the pennant is flown on radio whip antennas as a designator of key command appointments. AP 15202ST Dial Question
Hi, All. I recently purchased my first AP from from a forum member, a Royal Oak 15202ST (39mm jumbo). It arrived today, so I spent some time examining it. Owning Rolex, I've become accustomed to looking at perfect dials. Today while admiring the tapisserie dial, I felt that something was off. So, I picked up a 10x triplet and got a better look. This is what I saw. Notice the alignment of the Audemars Piguet text.It looks like the Audemars Piguet text is crooked. You can see the recessed area for the printing isn't square with the tapisserie.I've got a few questions.Is this fairly obvious imperfection something I should expect?Is this typical of AP?Should I be concerned about this watch? Does this call its authenticity (in whole or in part) in to question?I've see some pictures of other 15202STs and noticed that the date wheel font is different. Can anyone confirm that mine is the same or different as theirs?Thanks for you input.

Advice on crown threads
Hi. If the crown threads catch and then the crown becomes gritty because of a bit of wear, if I clear this with a waxed bit of dental floss (as suggested in other threads here), would this (a) invalidate the warranty, (b) strip the crown threads of oils and does it matter and (c) mean that potentially wax could get through the gasket? Not much should get through the seal. Thanks!
