Chopard 161905-5001 wrist watches news:
Hi,The background:I'm a person who aspires to own a Speedmaster soon, preferably this year. This is a big purchase for me since I've never owned a watch this expensive - the closest is a leather Tissot chronograph I got as a wedding gift from my wife. My last purchase of a watch was over 2 years ago, a honeymoon gift again from the Mrs (a nice, clean Mondaine from our Swiss trip). Every watch I own apart from the Mondaine is a chronograph and looking at the dials, I've always bought watches that looked like the Speedmaster because I never thought I would actually own one (this includes 3 excellent Sieko's!).The driving factor:I became a father earlier this year (first time) and my intention is to buy a watch I can eventually pass on to my son. I don't know if this sound corny or sentimental, but I would probably want to do this when he is old enough to understand its worth - maybe when he turns 18 or starts university etc. Anyway, despite my wife's initial protestations, she has finall
Can someone please tell me how i can view photo's that people mention on the site. Thanks
So a couple of weeks back I decided that I owned too many watches from the "boutique" brands so I decided to sell one. One of the three was a gift from my wife. Can't sell that. One was super inexpensive and very unique (and my wife LOVES that one as much if not more than I do). The third was a gorgeous watch, but the brand has some real odd styles on the horizon, and has newer and similar styles to mine at a lower price point, so it seemed like a no-brainer to try and cash in on that one. So I did. I didn't make much money on the flip, but I lost none, so I am not unhappy :) .On Friday, the search began for my next watch. On Saturday, the search got more exciting thanks to some very lucky predictions on the UFC (40-1 odds to pick the 5 fights I got right). BUT, I am a lightweight, so that number is a little optimistic, since I only risked SIX DOLLARS. So here I sit w/ about $900 burning a hole in my pocket (if I just use the "found money") . What to do?Do I go for something
looked down at my superocean yesterday, and the crown was gone! i looked everywhere for it, cant find it. any ideas on what size these things use? do i have to send it to an AD to be fixed? i googled a little and it seems that they can be quite expensive to replace by an authorized service center. i can find genuine crowns on ebay, but am not sure of the size (does anyone have one that they can measure?). any help would be greatly appreciated!
Am considering a Panerai Sub and when the funds permit i have got my eye on a 305 or 389. Will try the 389 on at some point to see one in person. I have tried the 305.Seems like more people go for the 305...is there a reason for this? Please post pics of your 389 and 305's. If you went for the 389 what made you choose it over the 305?Thanks
