Chopard 161923-1001 wrist watches news:
Maybe a surprise to you, but this is going to be my first trip to Switzerland. Today I embark on a (frustratingly long) flight to Geneva for two important shows. First is the highly exclusive SIHH 2010, put on indirectly by the Richemont Group to celebrate mostly its brands. This gala style event is apparently very high-class, and of course, as always, "by invitation only." I do consider myself lucky having be asking to attend. There I will mingle and see new for 2010 releases of many brands, just a few of which are Audemars Piguet (not part of Richemont), A. Lange & Sohne, Cartier, Panerai, Vacheron Constantin, Greubel Forsey (also not part of Richemont I understand), Van Cleef & Arpels, Richard Mille (not part of Richemont), IWC, and many more! There is also the high-end independent watch maker show known as the Geneva Time Exhibition, that I will be attending. Another load of great watch makers will be here including, but not limited to, Alain Silberstein, Linde Werdelin, HD3
"Hi, how's it going?""Just fine sir, care to view any fine Jaeger LeCoultre timepieces today?""Well, I don't know. What makes these.Jaeger LeCoultre watches.better than what I've got now?"(sigh) "Sirthese are what we call, 'real watches.' A a Jaeger LeCoultre watch represents an accomplishment combining elegance and discretion with a natural aura of serene confidence."(blank stare). "I don't.What exactly does that mean?""It doesn't matter what it means sir. I'm telling you, as I have been told, that it is the appropriate response to thesequestions..."Yea, I don't know what Jaeger LeCoultre was thinking behind this new idiotic marketing direction which is aimed squarely at one response from consumer. "Wait, what is Jaeger LeCoultre saying?" Self admittedly, Jaeger LeCoultre is stating that there seems to be some problem in the consumer's perception of the brand. So when you are checking out their advertisements, of course you aren't going to focus on the watch, but rather this relativel
Few things are more exciting to a watch collector than when a new piece is incoming. Last summer I had one experience that was even more exciting. I was given the opportunity to travel to Geneva and tour Patek Philippe's factories and their magnificent museum, courtesy of Patek Philippe and my Authorized Dealer. If you are ever in Geneva you really must visit their museum it is beyond belief for any watch enthusiast. They have even more vintage pieces than Dennis. While there I was given the chance to meet Mr. Thierry Stern and order something special to remember the experience by. I ordered a couple things special and I picked them up yesterday. So I will blame the first piece on the gentleman on the right and blame the second piece on the gentleman on the left. Thanks guys...they are unbelievable....just spectacular...Milos and ThierryPatek 5970JPatek Philippe 5960pCheers,Rob
Taking a long drive down the coast in our BMW(E46) on Saturday...wearing my BMW watch makes perfect sense. It's gonna be a great day.
Hi guys, as some of you may know I had a 5726 on strap for a while but got bored of it, should have taken the bracelet version, since the strap was a little big for my 6.9 wrist I got the small strap but the rubber one not the croc.I flipped the watch and still have the strap, it's like new and cost 490 euros at Patek, wanted to keep it if one day I buy another Naut on strap, but I understand that it won't happen, if I get one it will be bracelet, wanted to ask you guys where is the best place for me to see to put it on sale? If it was a watch I know but for a strap Thanks in advance for your replies if you know where I can sell it.
