Hi Members,I am new to the world of fine watches, but havenow set my eyes on a Seamaster Planet Ocean. Probablywill get the classic 42 mm model with the black dial. There is quite a large number of online stores outthere and prices vary between around $2,800 and$4,800 for the same model 2201.50.00. Is there any trusted way to tell whether the cheapersellers are providing a genuine, authentic product? For example, do members have any experience or can provide feedback on [non-sponsor link removed] who seem to have the lowest prices by a long margin?Since this is a substantial investment, I don't wantto buy a fake and hence would greatly appreciate anyhelp and advice. Hi - I have the Portuguese Automatic (107) and have fallen in love with IWCs. I have read on these forums that some people change the straps etc and wondered how easy this is to do myself? I have several quotes from ADs for the brown strap on its own and then the strap plus a new deployment clasp which adds considerably to the overall cost. My question is do I need a second clasp as I am so inept and things like this it untrue! How easy is it to remove the clasp from one strap to another? (strap changes no chance but ask me to rebuild a pc - no probs!!)Thanks for your advice and for the many interesting posts on this siteJeremy

Hey guys, wanted to get your input here.I purchased a brand new DSoTM with boxes/papers from a respected seller on here a few weeks ago. No issues with the watch, it's absolutely great. Today I was looking at the date and noticed this smudge(?) It's obviously magnified way up for this picture, but it's still *slightly* noticeable to the naked eye and kinda driving me crazy. I cycled through all the days and the 26th is the only one affected. Is this worth going to an AD about and possibly getting corrected or am I just being totally neurotic?Here's the link if the pic isn't showing upimgur/a/P2UYe

Bought yesterday an Omega Speedmaster. Firstly, I knew nothing, about it. Got some help in an Omega store., I, I started researching a bit, also came to the conclusion that it is one of the first watch on the moon, worn by Mr.Buz Aldrin. Went back to the Omega store, also asked them to open it, really, series nr.26072XXX Model nr.145012-12 SP Looked late on Chrono 24, to see how much it can cost.!! Approximately $ 6,000 Now it exchanged hands, so it affects the price, but it is beautiful ... Have never had Omega .. What do you think of ..? Thanks

I got a brand new Speedy Pro sapphire sandwich moon watch for USD $2500.00The Planet Ocean on bracelet was USD $2000.00 but I already have a Sub C.Love the manual wind and the see-thru back of the cool movement.
