- I bought this Dakota Angler II Clip Watch for my son who loves it on Boy Scout camping trips. It's well made and has survived numerous hikes through the mountains and canoe trips. It's a little pricey, but has held up well.

Chopard 41/8415 wrist watches news:
Good morning. Just wanted to introduce myself. My name is Frank. I live in Ventura County. I'm on other boards as well. best, Frank
I have a 353 calibre Seamaster of my father's, which the serial number dates to about 1952. I recently decided to start wearing it as an everyday watch. It was running slow about 2 minutes over 24 hours and, since I had no idea when it had been opened last, I finally took it in for a cleaning and oiling. On getting it back it ran great on my wrist, only losing a few seconds over my day at the office and continuing right up until I went to bed. I always give it about 10 winds to make sure it ran overnight, as I wasn't convinced my desk job provided enough movement for the bumper winding. As I said, pre-cleaning it was about two minutes slow but the next morning but now its 20-25 minutes behind. I've left it on its back, on its face and on it side (9:00 down) but it doesn't seem to matter. Over the weekend I gave it about 40 winds and left it from about 8:00 am on Saturday morning. Up to 11:00 pm or so when I went to bed it was pretty close against my quartz Timex. Overnight, to
Avatar watch day today.have a great day everybody!!
New Member (long time lurker)....I know that you shouldn't have a rant as a first post. But, I know that you guys will feel my pain. I manage a jewelry store in the Reno Nv, area. I hand delivered some repairs to the main store and found a nice little auto movement sitting on the bosses desk. Of course, I had to check it out. 48 jeweled Universal Geneve Microtor. It didn't take much work to find that it came out of an 18 kt yellow gold, late 50's early 60's polerouter. Some lady turned it in for scrap gold. She got $15.00 a gram for it (around $300.00). AND THAT JACK DONKEY MELTED IT.How do you melt something like that?????
I'm from the New York City Area and was wondering if any members (from the NYC area) from WTF are interested in a sit down gathering and discuss watch. Just throwing it out there, maybe even a cigar with the discussion lol.
