All,Just joined this forum as I have begun my search for my first mechanical watch. I've been struggling to find exactly what i want. I really like the look of Omega and Breitling divers as well as the more affordable Steinhart Ocean 1 vintage. I'm trying to keep below $2k and I also don't want a quartz-based watch. I look forward to seeing what I can learn from everyone here...james

Hi,My friend is asking me to get a watch for him with a budget not to exceed $400. Ideally he would like an automatic with a stainless steel bracelet. I was first looking at the Tissot Le Locle line but was told by an AD that it's not a good brand for the money, and that a lot of watches are being currently shipped back to the manufacturer. He wouldn't say exactly why.Can anyone be kind enough to provide me with some brands/suggestions?Thanks

Speedmaster leather strap recommendations
Hi all. Wondering if I could get some leather strap recommendations for the moon watch? Realized I hate the steel. Don't really care for natos anymore. Been using the isofrane rubber which I love but getting a little sick of. Also feel that's more of a summer thing. Never got to try gas gas bones. That guy is closed again. So some cool suggestions are welcome. Thanks.
