Hello, all. I have a new 2254.50 which is, for all intents and purposes, the absolute best watch I have ever owned, and is my daily companion. It is perfect in every single detail for my daily horologic needs and likes. So far it is running -1 second every 3 days.I did, however, find one little thing that kind of bugs me. The hour hand is off - that is to say, on the hour, the hour hand is slightly short of dead-center with the hour marker until +/- 4 minutes past the hour, when it becomes centered.I know that this may seem slightly anal, but I'm still above ground after 44 relatively active years because I'm particular about details (and with regard to attention to detail, I think I'm in good company here:)). Anyone else experienced this deviation? Trying to decide if it's worth being parted from my beloved SMP to send it in on a warranty issue to get this rectified - and, of course, the attendant concerns about servicing having a relatively adverse effect on the timing gives me pause
Hi,I came across this watch sorting out some old stuff in my house. Can anyone tell what year and model is this? Have you guys any idea, how much it would cost to service it?Unfortunately the crown is missing - are there any chances to get another one, original if possible? Thanks in advance.P6190072_800x600.jpgP6190073_800x600.JPG
They say if you have more than one watch, you are a collector. But some collectors like selling as much as buying. When it comes to our beloved Hammies, is re-sale value an important consideration? Why or why not?
Just wanted to share a pic of my 5711. Love the blue! Thanks for looking
