Movado 0604759 wrist watches news:
I was flattered by this article on DeepGlamour.net. The article mentioned me a few times and included a few quotes. Randall at DeepGlamour.net had an idea to comment on the effect that watches have on people and their image aside from style. I chose this image of Alexander the Great to sum up his sentiments on what certain watches are all about. The theme was discussing the concepts of "Status, Power, and Conquest" in relation to watches. You can read the article here, and I think you'll appreciate the gist of what he has to say. I feel honored that people either read my articles and get inspired or get inspired and stumble upon my articles. Although not the same era, here is a Roman inspired watch by Italian watch maker Zannetti watches. This model is called the Gladiatore Imperio. A cool looking Roman style decorate watch with the term "Vedi Vidi Vici" etched inside of the bezel. See the article at DeepGlamour.net here.Top image via The Johnson Galleries.
I have recently developed an "itch" for this watch. Had the opportunity to handle it a couple of weeks ago and liked what I saw. My main attraction to this watch, aside from the clean ana-digi dial, is the fact that this is one of the last remaining ETA thermocompensated superquartz movements in the market with accuracy in the -/+ 15 seconds per year ballpark. Not only this would be my first Breitling but my first high end Swiss watch as well (I am still a died in the wool Japanese watch fan, but I do make exceptions for interesting European watches such as these). What is the general concensus about the Aerospace? I am not interested in reading bickering about how some may dislike/hate quartz watches or why mechanical watches are "superior". I have pretty much abandoned purely mechanical watches and I am sticking to HEQ (High end quartz), Seiko's Spring Drive and Citizen's Eco-Drive radio controlled watches. Yes, I am a card carrying accuracy freak. The Aerospace is a watch that has alwa
i was at a popular watch store in manhattan and ran into the gevril ave of the americas timepiece...i cant see paying that kind of bread for that watch ( even though i found deals online)...so my question is do u know any other brands that makes a watch similar to this one...does not have to be swiss...i just really like that style of watch...any help would be appreciated !!!!
Hi all,One of my employees was working a lot and performed excellent. I also reminded him so many times that he would lose his 5 sick days if he doesn't take them and... he lost them because he wanted to finish an important project. As I value his support and his time, I decided to buy him a Rolex and it would be great if you could help me chose!I am between 2 timeless classics... a SS Sub date vs. a DJ41 Black with Jubilee. Which one would you chose? Currently he has only a GMT Tag and he really deserves an upgrade :)Poll started and thank you for your advise!Note: I've an excellent relationship with my AD and he can get both within a monthAlex
Desperately need your guidance on whether to buy the Black GMT or Batman. I am trading in my Air King which I have had for 9 years. My heart is set on Batman, which I have found (5 - 6 hour round trip drive from my house). However, my local AD includes the first overhaul for free with any purchase. Naturally the local AD doesn¡¯t have Batman, just the Black GMT. Does anyone else think about total cost of ownership or am I overthinking this. I could always trade in the Batman in 7 years for a different/ new model thus negating the overhaul value of the negotiation. Any help you can provide is appreciated. Looking to pull the trigger next Wednesday. Thanks!Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
