Maurice Lacroix PT6197-SS001-330 wrist watches news:
Found this photo i took while organizing my some old pictures.[IMG][/IMG]
I'm looking to pick up a Base 22, but from what I read there is a 12hr GMT (preferable) version and a 24hr 'purist' version (not a deal-breaker). Is each of the four options (3887.11/GA-LB7 - 3887.19-LB9 - 3887.11/66-LB9 - 3887.18/66-1) available in one of the two movements? Or are they four separate movement versions? As far as I can tell, 3887.11/66-LB9 and 3887.18/66-1 are missing the GMT hand - are these the purist versions? I'm most interested in the 3887.19-LB9 black dial version. Thanks!
This morning while visiting Dallas I had the great privilege of spending the morning with dangeruss. I first came to know of dangeruss (Russ) from his Lum-Tec watch designs and became a fan. When we planned a trip to Dallas I contacted Russ to see if it would be possible to meet up. Russ was most accommodating and said he would come to our hotel this morning. After a nice breakfast he opened up both of the watch boxes he brought which contained 40 of the 105 watches in his collection. Russ let me look and handle the watches to my heart's content.Russ then took me to three up scale jewelry stores to look at some fine watches. The highlight of those stores and watches was the Jaeger-LeCoultre Event at Eiseman Jewels. The Jaeger rep. from Chicago was there to show watches from their exclusive collection. One such Jaeger has an MSPR of $400K! Russ is a VERY KNOWLEDGEABLE watch designer/collector. He was interesting to watch and listen to as he asked questions about various high line watch

A question for all 5205-001 (silver dial) owners. Does the dial look silver and shining or rather matt and grey most of the time? The photos show very grey looking dial and I don't see much sparkle in it. Is this the case in reality? I looked at both at my AD and attach the photo here. However, the watch was sealed in plastic and it is hard to tell since plastic is only semi transparent. Thanks a lot for your feed back!
