- The watch is very comfortable to wear, the color of the face in person is very rich looking, and it reflects the G very well in the face. It is a very nice watch for the price.

B.R.M CR BOU O wrist watches news:
Would someone be so kind as to explain the "SEL" thing to be. I believe I am confused. As readers of ths forum will remember, I purchased am Explorer 2 a few weeks ago, (still smiling), and I have noticed that the links on the bracelet are hollow where one meets up with the next. I assume this is what is being refered to as a non SEL bracelet.I have observed postings where it has been stated that Rolex does not yet use the SEL braclet on the Explorer series. Then I see 04 - 05 Explorers for sale where it states the bracelet is an SEL piece, if this is correct I would assume mine is an SEL bracelet, but I don't believe it is.Am I on crack!!! or just really confused as to what the end links are?
I was wondering if anyone happens to know anything about this particular model of Hampden pocketwatch? It's an heirloom piece that I would like to eventually have restored. Unfortunately, I don't know much about pocketwatches. Any advice/info is greatly appreciated:
Hello all,It¡¯s been awhile since I have swung through. Been busy for the last few months but things are starting to let up a bit so I thought I would drop in and let everyone know what horological thoughts have been crossing my mind as of late. A little bit after Christmas I had a bit of a horologically existential moment, as Nietzche put it, watches were ¡°dead¡± to me. Nevertheless after some thought I discovered that a lot of my discontent was due in part to my collections¡¯ obvious lack of direction. So, I have decided, with much consideration, that I am going to focus my collecting on modern and vintage JLC. And this means that I will be selling off the majority of my current collection to fund this new endeavor. JLC to me represents everything I love about watches: creativity, precision, artist vision, fine craftsmanship, etc. Simply put, JLC just sings to me unlike any other manufacture and am looking forward to perusing my passion for these watches.Kind regards,jdp87
it's become my new obsession.and seeing it next to my ROO confirms (for me) that having both is mostly redundant.u can definitely feel the ROO on the wrist more than the 15400. had i not ever worn the ROO, the 15400 may feel heavy...but not after having just worn the ROO.the 15400 definitely blings more than the ROO...the case and bracelet have much sharper edges and brighter polishing..but very elegantly.it's definitely still a sports watch. but can take up the dress watch role very easily.which is why i think the ROO ends up being redundant.different story if it were the 15202, i'm sure...which i would consider a strictly dress watch...and therefore i could rationalize keeping the ROO around.but have models that fill that role much nicer (JLC reversos).a few shots from the boutique heading into the weekend...
Anyone got a clue?
