Doxa Auctions Limited-Edition Divers’ Watches Worn By Jean-Michel Cousteau
Doxa, the Swiss watch company that introduced the world to the first orange-dialed divers watch, is auctioning five limited-edition models of its Doxa Sub 1200T, each one personally worn by diving legend Jean-Michel Cousteau. Seiko 7002 Diver help
Having recently made the mistake of purchasing a "genuine" Seiko 7000-7002 diver from the Philippines I have discovered that the date change wheel was not operating correctly. So taking the brave step of looking into why (I am totally comfortable with Seiko Quartz watches but there's something about a mechanical movement that makes me apprehensive - all those moving parts I guess and no electronics!).Anyway i quickly found the fault lies with the Intermediate date wheel being chewed. I would have expected this particular wheel to be similar to the others in the train and so would be made of metal, but this one is made of plastic so can only assume the original was lost or damaged and the plastic one was a 'quick fix'.So my question is, can anyone confirm whether this should be a metal or plastic component and also can anyone suggest where I could pick up a replacement?Thanks for taking the time to read this and I hope you can assist.

The Khaki Officers Chrono and others?
Believe it or not, I STILL haven't decided on a new Hamilton-I'm juggling the idea of an Action Auto Chrono, a Maestro, a Frogman Chrono, and now the Officers Auto Chrono.I'm really digging the Fleiger look, but I haven't found one from any brand in price range that really made me go crazy. The Debaufres are really really nice, but the watch snob in me will always feel like I'm wearing a replica, made by a pseudo brand that sells some rebadged stuff :/So I started looking at the Officer Chrono. It reminds me a lot of the IWC watch of the same style, as it shares a similar bezel (I haven't seen many 'fleiger-esque' watches with this type of bezel), but has its own identity with the 2 register chrono and large 12 3 6 and 9.. I really like the look and the size, I'm just concerned about it being on the thin side, because if I'm wearing a 44mm beast, I want the thickness to balance with the diameter. I think this one might have what it takes to be the next one, but I'd like to see some

Very pleased with my first Panerai
Hot on the heels of the Sub-C and not being one to let the enthusiasm wane, I thought the best follow up would be a Panerai. I have a confession... before I became interested in Rolex I had not registered that Panerai existed! Is this usual.. Yes Patel JLC Omega but for some reason Panerai had never come up.However, after trying on a few at various boutiques in Asia and researching here and other places, the Panerai story is really interesting and I have a soft spot for anything to do with Firenze even though the company is based in Neuchatal Switzerland.How did I decide on the 104?
