Should Wittnauer be re-dialed ?
I got this watch on ebay a couple of weeks ago,....it lacked a crystal, the hands were tangled, and the dial looked like this......Took it to my watch guy, who got it together and now it runs great, got a new crystal, and the hands move smoothly past each other ....The cool part is that I picked it up for $57, and it's solid 14k gold....weighing 9.5 grams, and the scrap value is something along the lines of $247 ...........My watch guy will do down and dirty oils for me, and it only cost me $25 to get that work done ......now I know what you're thinking, but he really is good, he is just a big ole softy, and so I get a serious discount in the work I have done .........so here's the photo's, and the question is ....at what? 60 to 100 to re-do the dial, would it increase the value by a significant amount, ....not to mention, is it in the kind of condition that reeeealy needs re-doing.....this first shot is the watch as it is in it's case........then, there's the "Naked Truth" !!!and th

Omega SMP winding issue normal?
Hello, long time lurker, first time poster. I have an Omega SMP that I bought new from an AD 2 years ago. It is the most recent before the ceramic.Anyway, I don't wind the watch too often and when I do I am always gentle and slow so as not to damage it. Today I set the time and then went to wind the watch a few times. After each counter clockwise winding turn, the stem turns back at me about a quarter turn when I let go. I do not remember this ever happening. Is it normal for the crown to spin back toward me a bit with each wind?Thanks guys.

What do you think of this particular Seamaster 300 ref. 165,024? The particularity of this watch, as you can see from the photos, is to be equipped with the hands of the ref. 14755 to have the cuff 7912 to 1 / 64 - Final 16 and the bottom shows the ref. 165024-63 S.C., the movement is a Cal. 552 - n. 20.308.XXX. AD Lists for the Daytona and how to bypass them?!
So as I read DoctorA¡¯s recent thread about his experience with bundling and opportunity to buy the Daytona, I¡¯m thinking about playing along with a couple of my ADs but with a twist and wanted some opinions. With the several SS sports models I already own and with recent purchases at one AD, I am really only interested in the White Daytona (which I¡¯ve been on lists since Basel release 2016) My best friend has seen my collection grow and is getting into Rolexes. We were at the Wynn boutique and he¡¯s narrowed it down between the Cellini Moonphase or the sub bluesy. I told him I¡¯d call my ADs and see if they would take care of him and give them the business instead of Wynn and see if that would push me up the list for the Daytona given the referral.
