Well well guys n' gals (English readers over 40 will get the somewhat bleached humour) it's time we put away expensive baubles costing $1000 or even $10000 and shone a light on the budget end of the market.I would like to open a thread on Newmark whose factory in Croydon was in production from 1950 to 1960 and is said to have made around a million watches. Here is an advertising leaflet from 1954........Adverts_0002.jpgDoes anyone have any memories the factory? Or a decent photo of it? New Arrival - Christmas Came Early
Pulled the trigger on a 116520 yesterday. Went back/forth between the 116520 or the DaytonaC and finally settled on this one. Both great watches but I fell in love with this watch several years ago and told myself I'd buy it if my financial situation allowed it. That day finally came and am thrilled to own this piece.This Daytona now joins my collection of 14060, 16710, and 1016.
