You need to be a pretty serious watch nerd to know who Vianney Halter is, but you need to be an even more serious watch nerd to know what Goldpfeil is. Goldpfeil is a failed brand that sought to create watches made and designed by star independent watch makers who are members of the AHCI. A few models were produced and among them was this one by Vianney Halter. I am not totally sure why Goldpfeil was not a commercial success but the very similar Harry Winston Opus concept did end up being a commercial success. The idea of working together to help out low-resource, high-creativity independent watch makers is sound, but doing it properly is a complex feat. While I don't know exactly what went wrong back in the early 2000's, I can guess it had to do with marketing budgets, production schedules and costs, and sheer awareness. To spend $50,000 on a watch whose brand you can barely pronounce from some quirky French guy is not exactly a model for sales success. It takes people like me (and may

HI, i'm new in the forum, i was looking around and just wondering if you could give me some advise. i'm getting a new watch and after looking in many options i ended up with 2 finalist, one is the Oris blue eagles limited edition i love it is a pilot watch i'm a pilot for comercial airline and my second option is the new Tag Aquaracer caliber 5 500M is very nice watch! i just know i like both but i want to know about the machine if one is better than the other the oris is a little more expensive but i like the idea is a pilot watch and tag is a diver, i would like any opinion or any other option in the price range. thanksOris The Collection > Aquaracer > Man > Aquaracer 500M Calibre 5 - TAG Heuer, Swiss Watches and Chronographs - TAG Heuer swiss avant garde since 1860
Just looking for some advice, I've been thinking about getting either a 5711 or 5712, instead of another Rolex. With SS Rolex, it's always easy to flip without losing too much money. With PP, is it easy to flip? From your experience, what would you expect to lose on a flip, 10% or more? I realise that it's like owning a Ferrari, there may be plenty of interest but to actually find a buyer with ready money is another matter. Any advice on PP ownership would be much appreciate :)
