Hi Folks,I'm new to this forum, having lurked about on and off for the past year.I have assembled a small collection of "dollar" watches over the last twelve months or so, and have also purchased a lovely little Illinois movement that I hope to repair some day (more about that later). Now, I guess that most folks on this forum would say that "dollar" watches are not worth repairing, but I'm hoping someone can give me a few hints and tips to help me solve this problem...Several months ago I bought a 1940 Ingraham Dixie for about $20.00. After researching the purchase of a Casio Atomic/Solar, picking out a model and checking prices and reading reviews, I think I am leaning more to this atomic/solar model from Citizen. Anyone have one? If so, some feedback would be appreciated. I have a line on one at a fabulous price.
Hello I am looking for a used lathe and there are several makes on the market. What brand(s) are the "good ones" and easy to get parts for? Also, there are some new chinese lathes for sale on ebay between $800 to $1200. Has anyone had any experience with them. From past experience with chinese tools, it's a hit or miss.
I know this watch has been discontinued but it'll always be a classic in my books. Let's see your pics in steel and rosegold. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
