new Longines! a few questions..
Hey Guys, Here in florida on vacation and was in a Tourneau watch store today. Decided to pick up a Hydroconquest, 41 mm, black, automatic. So far Im loving it! no pictures for a while because I dont have the camera cord here. As this is my first automatic i have a few questions...What's the best way to make sure i treat the movement right? like how many winds? anything i should/shouldn't do to keep it in good shape?Also, When i adjusted the time and was trying to screw back in the crown, it seemed like it slipped for a second and i think this was in the movement position (you have to push in and screw from the movement position to catch the threads). I am thinking that this extra few quick turns were actually attached to the movementWould this damage it? I have heard some movements have clutch systems that cause slip to prevent over wind, is this what happened?As this is my first automatic I am open to any advice you guys may have!Thanks!
