Chopard 41/8380 wrist watches news:
In the photo essay “Through the Looking Glass” in WatchTime’s December 2008 issue, we took readers inside the micro-mechanical wonderland of A. Lange & S?hne’s Cabaret Tourbillon. Now these exclusive images by photographer Jorg Wischmann are available as downloadable wallpaper for your computer’s desktop.Click on each image for the larger version. Explanations of the technological detail in each photo are in the captions.Like little arrows, these golden screws point toward the balance spring inside the balance. The screws are used to finely adjust the mechanism. If the duration of each oscillation of the balance needs to be shortened, milling miniscule amounts of metal from the screws¡¯ heads can reduce their weight. The opposite result can be achieved by inserting tiny washers. Lange manufactures these tiny screws to a tolerance of two micrometers and then plates them with gold. This blued steel screw keeps the intermediate-gear cock in its proper place
The watch budget is spent, so this will be my last new watch for a while. But what a watch! It is over 51mm (including stem) wide, 14.8mm thick and the band comes in at 23.8mm. It has an anonymous Japanese automatic movement that hacks. Best of all it cost me less than $90.Croton Automatic CA301154TTBKObligatory Wrist ShotEverything seems to work OK, the only issue so far has been with the bracelet. When I went to size it most of the screws were loose. Good thing I had my handy little bottle of Low Strength Loctite 222...
I'm digging in this kind of watch, and I simply find them incredible, this complication makes me drool over and overSo, I was looking, and of course there are only top brands like Patek, Breguet and so, and the cost of one of this is $100K and over Light years out of my budget, so I was thinking in a cheap version, just to satisfy the curiosity, so I was thinking in one Citizen Eco Drive, and indeed the sound is not as outstanding as the Patek, but is not that plain digital beep eitherSee by yourselves, and let me know your opinionsand drool over the Patek youtube/watch?v=CZxo-fXscxgyoutube/watch?v=751po...eature=relatedAlso, I know of somebody having these Citizens, as Alton1, so please share your opinionsFinally, I just found these Eco Drives, aren't there any other brands that make let's say quartz repeaters???

HelloThis is my first post on this forum and I would like some opinions regarding the polishing level of an Explorer.I am considering on purchasing an Explorer 1. The seller says that they have polished the watch but I am worried that it might be over polished. According to the pics that the seller has posted up, the reflections in the bezel seem to be skewed a little? I am not sure if this is normal or if its due to bad polishing.I would appreciate it if someone could provide some insight. Thank you in advance.
