Chopard Chopard 8369 wrist watches news:
The new IWC Portugieser Annual Calendar, part of the brand’s “Year of the Portugieser” at SIHH 2015, is a timepiece that marks two IWC firsts: its in-house movement is equipped with an innovative annual calendar mechanism and also boasts a two-barrel, seven-day power reserve. In keeping with IWC tradition at SIHH, the brand has devoted the lion’s share of its development and marketing efforts on one of its collections; this year, the Portuguese family gets its time in the spotlight. Kicking off IWC’s latest Year of the Portugieser is this new annual calendar watch (Ref. 5035), containing the new IWC Caliber 52850.The dial of the IWC Portugieser Annual Calendar displays the month, date, and day, in that order, in three semi-circular windows at 12 o’clock. This “American-style” date indication, which uses three individual disks, is an homage to IWC’s American-born founder, Florentine Ariosto Jones. The watch’s seven-day (168-hour
Omega uses pins to hold the bracelet together. To confound this, the nice clasp they provide does not have any micro-holes for adjustment..But you can do it:First you need a couple of simple tools. Either a bracelet pin removal tool (sure, we all have one of those) ...orA pin punch the approximate diameter (smaller) of the pins.A small hammer to tap the pin out.A pair of small pliers to pull out and insert the pin.Something like this:Looking at the links from the backside, some small arrows can be seen etched in the removable links. The pins are pushed out in the direction of the arrows.Place the bracelet in a padded vice, or hold sturdily on a piece of padded wood....or two with a small space between for the pin to have room to come out. After the pin is started out, it can be pulled the rest of the way with the pliers. This photo shows two pins partially out. Here we see the parts. You will notice we have two full links and one 1/2 link. The other parts are the locking tube and
There are these yahoos who think the world is going to end this Saturday, May 21 (of course their out is that it is the start and a day October is the big date). So I am wondering, what watch to wear this Saturday? Would a chronograph be appropriate? If, as they say, we have to suffer for a few months, a chronograph makes sense as it would be helpful to time out the wait. I doubt a diver's watch would be in orderthe last time the world ended a good waterproof watch would have been handy but apparently not so this time around. I think a watch that is fire proof might be appropriate (if the trip is downstairs) or a pilot's watch (figuring going upstairs and hanging in the clouds).
Just ordered yesterday. I have heard it is a really rare version. What do you guys think of it? It strikes me as a love or hate it type watch. I'll post some on the wrist pics when it gets inInvicta 12483.jpg
