Jaeger LeCoultre 271.24.10 wrist watches news:
It is not every day that a new model of Rolex is found. We have seen a few rectangular (known as the "reservoir") Rolexes, but they were all variety of Prince.
You guys have been so helpful, and I was thinking about returning this eBay purchase that just showed up today. It's from 1927, and the pictures on the auction didn't show the wear-through on some of the bottom edges of the gold-filled case (at least, I missed it). I haven't been able to locate any pictures of a watch like this from this vintage; it has the 986A movement and is not a cushion.. all the examples I've seen are cushion or not round. Is this an unusual enough style to consider keeping despite some of the wear on the case? Inside the case says Keystone Victory, and it looks original.Thank you!
Hopefully this is the right forum.I'm not a big watch fanatic but I definitely appreciate the form. For my bday a few years back, my wife got me a LUM-TEC C4 which I LOVE. Sadly, it's getting repaired so I'm watchless right now, which makes me pine for other ones...I love using an automatic so I'm trying to see what other options I might have out there. My biggest restriction is wrist size. Because of my small wrist, I'm limited in the choices and the 38mm C4 fits me great. Anything bigger just looks like I'm wearing my dad's watch. What other ones should I be looking at below US$2000? Used and boutique is OK w/ me, doesn't have to be US made, just good quality and rep.Thanks.

P.3000 Entirely designed, developed and produced in the Officine Panerai Manufacture in Neuchatel, the hand- wound P.3000 calibre presents the main characteristics of the Panerai movements both in terms of structure and in terms of performance, robustness, accuracy and its long power reserve. The thickness of the calibre P.3000 is 5.3 mm and the diameter is 161⁄2 lignes, a substantial size which traces its origins from that of the movements which were fitted to the historic Panerai models. The calibre is immediately recognisable by its construction, which is similar to that of a three-quarter plate movement: a large bridge, next to another smaller one, covers the majority of the mechanical parts and it is fixed to the bottom plate by a series of screws of substantial thickness, thus forming a particularly rigid structure. The movement has 21 jewels and it uses two spring barrels connected in series. Such an arrangement enables long, thin springs to be used, which ensures the deli
