Tag Heuer WAH1221.BB0865 wrist watches news:
Hi guysThinking of pulling the trigger on a preowned APIt is still under warranty, however the bezel has been touched up and to do that the case hs been opened ( movement not touched apparently)Is the warranty void now and how can AP tell?My understanding is also that under the main casebck the movement is protected by a 2nd antimag caseback, so would the watchmaker be able to access the bezel without touching the movement? Thanks guys, itching to get one but must do my due diligence
I can now say I am officially part of the AP club after having collected a number of Panerai's, Rolex and Cartier over the years. This is one of the first AP models I was visually drawn to with the exception of the RB2 which is very hard to find brand new and I am just too anal to buy a used watch as I cannot live with scratches or any wear at all.The package arrived at 10:30 am today on the dot and I quickly closed my office door and was tearing open the outside box like little kid on Xmas morning. My operations manager suddenly came into my office in the middle of me opening the box and was asking a question and I told her NOT NOW!!! and sent her out. Here is a teaser shot for now more to follow as I am taking crappy iPhone pics so please forgive me and I am slammed at work today.
Sorry for posting in the Rolex forum but I know many of you own speedmasters and thought I would get the most helpful answers here. I just purchased a BNIB speedmaster 3570 in June and have been wearing it daily since. Sometime last night while I was out and about, the bezel fell off and disappeared! I was staring at my watch wondering why it looked different....took me a few seconds to realize what happened. I'm still shocked that this happened....I didn't hit or bump the watch on anything and there isn't a scratch to be seen on the crystal or the case. For a watch that was NASA certified I'm absolutely stunned. Has anyone else seen this happen? Could this be a warranty claim or am I stuck buying a new bezel? Thanks for reading....any advice you can offer is much appreciated.
At last.... The final Picture of the Omega 2011 family altogther. This proved to be the must difficult photo to get all the watches looking right in at the same time. I Hope you enjoyed the series and I'm very sorry if I have bored some people with them.
Since I noticed that some expert Paneristis didn't know what where Panerai shadow case watches I thought helpful to put the description I found:It became Panerai practice not to create a prototype series that were numbered. Although the Panerai family did number their prototypes, the Panerai company changed this practice when Richemont took over the family company. In the first couple of years under new ownership, the company would create a new model (most were similar to pre vendome models) and make a handful of these watches. It is said that 4 to 12 pieces of a new model were made. These pieces were shown at new product development meetings. They were given to executives within the company, one of the few authorized dealers or important collectors. These Shadow models did not have a Series number inscribed on the back. Regular production model watches have three lines of serial numbers engraved on the case back of locking crown models, and in the corners of the radiomir case watches.
