Chopard 127445-0001 wrist watches news:
For many years, when the question of "can I put my Rolex in a watch winder" came up, Rolex generally had a standard response of "we do not endorse the use of a watch winder." Now it seems they actually make and sell a watch winder! Take a look at the photos below (used by permission from "Rolex1970" on R-L-X):Apparently, according to Rolex1970 on R-L-X this item can be ordered from Swiss Rolex dealers for 740 CFS - no minimum purchase is required. To the degree it's available outside of Switzerland is uncertain at this point. I'd love to know who makes the actual winder motor and case (I'm sure it isn't Rolex).
I'm looking at getting a White Aquatimer 2000 on steel bracelet, any idea on what the retail is on this watch?I have a relationship with an AD that I bought two Panerai off of so what can I expect in terms of a discount on this brand as I've noticed every brand is different when it comes to discount percentages.Thanks.
sigh...too much work, not enough beer.New Nookster acquisitions yes yes, the strap is too small.
13,000 that is, in posts - I can't believe I yap so much that I'm coming up on that many. Anyway, as the New Year rolls in I thought I'd share a few things I've learned in this hobby from a couple perspectives. As a member of this community- What a diverse group we are. It's great to be a part of it and I enjoy the sharing of cultural perspective on everything, not just watches.- Who says the internet robs people of their social skills? They're alive & well here. ...except in some of the Political threads in the Community Forum. As a watch collector- I'm always amazed at how freely information flows. You need an answer about a brand you aren't familiar with? Maybe you want some information on a vintage watch on eBay? Ask! Plenty of members will chime in with advice. It seems the pay-it-forward philosophy is working with WIS.- I like "Incoming!" threads for others as much as mine. How cool is it to see a new watch?- $20 or $20,000, all watches are better than cell phones
So, I was looking over my recently purchased Speedmaster Date and using the chronograph function. I was also testing to see that it comes up to exactly top-dead-center when I reset the chronograph. Sure enough, it resets perfectly. So, then I wanted to see exactly when the chronograph minute hand clicked over registering the minute count. After a couple of tests, I found that that if I stopped the second hand at 59 1/4 second, it appeared the minute counter hand was just starting to move. The minute counter hand would complete its click-over somewhere between 59 1/2 and 59 3/4 seconds (each second has 1/4 second marks). This seems fine to me, but I was wondering if other Speedmasters (I understand that the movement in the Pro is different from the Date) had click-over at different points. Besides, this will give you an excuse to play with your Speedy.
