Chopard 1541545 wrist watches news:
I always forget how quiet the boards get after Basel. Posts really drop off around Spring/Summer. I'm guilty of not posting nearly as much as in the Winter. Maybe everyone is at the beach? Is it too soon to start talking about Basel 2010??
This watch I plan on buying since it was a cheap Tourbillon model:513uk9EasgL.jpgAnd here's Amazon link:Stuhrling Original Men's 127D.333531 Sovereign Limited Edition Goldtone Tourbillon: Watches: Amazon
Just the other day I was thinking that it had been awhile since I have done anything with my collection. Then the bug hit me, so I made a slight change. I sold 2 watches and bought 2 watches and here's why: I wanted to add pieces that I felt were "iconic or classic" models that I would enjoy wearing and keeping for a long time while moving out watches that see little or no wrist time. So here is what I did:Move #1: I realized I just wasn't a TT guy anymore (funny how tastes change over time -loved it when I bought it then never wore it) so I sold my Rolex 16613, and I bought a Rolex 16710 GMT Master II Pepsi. With the ability to swap out the bezel inserts I now have several different looking watches in one! And yes I bought 2 other inserts, black and coke for variety. I also gained the GMT functionality which since I happen to travel for work will use frequently. Move #2: By purchasing the 16710 and gaining the GMT functionality I now no longer need it on my Omega Seamaster GMT so I
Evening all,Had a chance to try this on today, and it's not a bad looking watch - the red-tipped chrono seconds hand was a nice touch, and the mission patch on the subdial is good too - sterling silver, not printed on like the Moon to Mars editions. Comes in a mahoosive box, the usual limited edition gubbins, and a 42mm silver commemorative medallion. But, at ¡ê3500, I think it's a little on the pricey side, especially as it's not all that limited - 7969 will be made. To sum up, I like the looks of it, but not the price. Anyone else had a chance to see one in the flesh?
Has anyone experienced this before? Today I accidentally managed to open the caseback of my Sub Date by hand. Not sure how long it had not been tightly screwed down. I was frightened. Fortunately to my eye the movement looks still clean. The watch has been my daily beater since 2003, though recently other Rolexes get more wrist. Since it has never been serviced I now intend to bring it to the RSC.
