Chopard 16/8162 wrist watches news:
Peter Speake-Marin is introducing a new member of the J Class collection this year and it’s called the Bi-Tourbillon. The watch is a technical tour de force, featuring a pair of vertically aligned tourbillons linked by a spring clutch system. The Bi-Tourbillon is a nod to the rich history that ties Peter Speake-Marin to the tourbillon, a complication that accompanied the first timepiece to bear his name (a pocket watch in 2000). We got our hands on the watch in Basel last month, and there’s a healthy amount of recognizable Speake-Marin style in the new watch, as well. 1 OF 2 The Bi-Tourbillon is reminiscent of the Vintage Tourbillon we saw from from Speake-Marin back in 2005. The two watches share similarly styled bridges made of German silver, and a baseplate with perlage and ruthenium plating serving as a backdrop on the dial side. The Bi-Tourbillon aligns each tourbillon vertically along the 9 o’clock side of the dial, and links them with a large, han
I have many good Elgins. I believe the best (not most valuable) is their 12 size Model 190. It was highest cost of all Elgins of any size in 1915 catalog copy. 23j sometimes marked Lord Elgin. Some made with poised pallet, mustach lever. Superior accuracy but too small for rr. Made for 20+ years but not in the usual Elgin high volume so not common especially in 18k hunter case. Wanted to show how nice the mvnt. finish is but not too successful.
I picked up a new Seiko 5 diver. Here is a link to the post in the general forum:watchtalkforums.info/foru...tml#post349567

I recently purchased a beautiful 5513, but after giving it some time on the wrist, decided it wasn't for me. It's a great piece, but that connection just wasn't there. So I found a local buyer, and while chatting about the deal he mentioned he had a 116500LN that he was looking to sell. He purchased it from an AD in March of 2017 and only wore it a handful of times, so it's in beautiful condition. I wasn't even looking to purchase one -- but we worked out a fair offer for both parties and I never looked back. I figured if it wsn't the right watch, I'd be able to flip it without much trouble.I can't honestly say this is the most beautiful watch I've ever worn. The proportions are absolutely perfect -- this one is a real stunner. I can't imagine ever parting with it.Enough rambling, onto the picture
