Just when I thought it was the best, they impress me again!
Around the beginning of May I got my PO and for 30 days I tested it for time keeping accuracy. At the end of the 30 days my PO had gained 1.16 seconds per day. Well, for the last week or so I have been observing the timing of it and....I am speechless. I am without speech.OK, I have a little bit of speech. It now gains 0.6 seconds per day! Do I know how I got it from +1.16 down to +0.6? Do I remember what I might have done different between the two periods when I was timing my PO? All I can say is - Jimmy crack corn and I don't care. Presenting My 300M Orsa Sea Angler
Something you dont see many of here.Arrived yesterday AfternoonReturned from the Gym and found a nice surprise waiting for me, my black bezel Orsa Lithium Sea Angler.Id never seen a Sea Angler in person and now I know what the excitement over them is all about. Im very pleased.Initial impressions are:A very comfortable to wear, large watch (even with a 6 1/2inch wrist. A supple and nicely designed rubber strap.Possibly the best shade of orange Ive ever seen on a dive watch.Better than expected lume.No nonsense dial and hands with small, inoffensive script and Logo.Nicely finished case.Cant think of much Id change about this one.Going to Jamaica in two weeks and this is definately going with me. Day Date Moon goes to Conneaut
I always enjoy the travel and food threads you all share. This is not exotic or extravagant as most, but it is our life in the summertime. We have a family lake home up at Conneaut Lake, about an 90 mins north of Pittsburgh. These were taken last weekend, we have been having a pretty nice summer! Enjoy Hey, it is 4 o' clock somewhere I enjoy cooking (as long as someone keeps the rugrats out of my kitchen- grandparents do a good job of this!) Spring lettuce mix salad, sunflower seeds, chickpeas, tomatos, shredded carrot and light viniagrette dressing. Grilled chicken with a spinach pasta that has roasted corn and tomatoes and mozzarella cheese. Kids in bed, time for some limoncello! I LOVE this stuff ;) Beautiful Harvest Moon shot to end the night!

The specs on the new 8500 movement from Omega are pretty amazing....Double barrel design (DLC coated) with a 60 hour power reserveDual directional winding automaticFree sprung balanceFull balance bridge39 jewels202 partsCOSC certificationIt looks to me as though Omega bench marked the now 20 year old 3135 and just upped it everywhere that it could. What do you guys think? Should Rolex be worried? Should they fight back with an update or reworking of their base calibers or do you think that they just don't care?Personally, I was really shocked by the difference in the Omega 2500 caliber that was beating inside my Planet Ocean and the 3130 inside my Submariner (which should arrive early next week - the waiting is killing me). I think Omega is just catching up with Rolex in the 8500 caliber and that Rolex should feel no immediate threat. It will take some time for people to realize that Omega is quickly closing the gap in quality (and entry level price) with Rolex and I suspect Rolex will
