- My husband absolutely loves his new watch - he's quite the watch collector and this one really made his A1 list! The clasp was a little loose - but a quick trip to the local jewelers and we're good to go!

I recently tried to verbalize the answer to the questions, "Why Rolex," and even, "Why mechanical watches?" I posted these thoughts on another forum recently, but find myself enjoying my time here at WTF so I figured I'd share again. I love the fact that the watch on my wrist doesn't need electricity or a microchip or a battery. I treasure that my wristwatch was very likely assembled by hand and scores of small parts; gears, cogs and springs work in concert every second of every day, with precision that matches or in some cases exceeds its battery powered cousins. As mechanical engineers and designers strive to make products smaller and lighter these days, the heft of a steel mechanical wristwatch conveys quality. It's confidence inspiring that the logo on the dial stands for decades of mechanical and design innovation. Furthermore, in an era where mergers, stockholders and dividends are all commonplace, the Rolex Coronet virtually stands alone; atop a heap of companies specializing in
Hey guys,Just a quick and dirty snapshot of the Seiko SRP029K (that belongs to my friend) and my Sawtooth. LOL I never thought my Sawtooth would look smaller.Cheers!
Hi allCan anyone please tell me where the White, outer, card watch boxes are produced?Thank youJonOh and also has anyone ever heard of an AD by the name of H.J. COMPANY
Dear all, I have come to realize that my 2 week old brand new 5164R has 2 defects on the bezel. One at 7 o'clock and one at 11 o'clock. The angle between the brushed plateau and the 45 degreed angle joining the satined polished facade seems to have been over polished by the watchmaker. I can't seem to take proper pictures to show but in bright light, you can see the deformation. I purchased it at a German official Patek retailer not far from Dusseldorf, it was a sealed piece and was opened before my eyes. I didn't realize this until a few days ago, when the light shining at those 2 spots caught my attention and upon examining with a loupe, I confirm the 2 overpolished, or rather looks like dented corners at 7 and 11 positions. The trouble spots are not big but they sure are defects. I cannot believe it passed Patek's quality control department. Now I am left questioning what to do about it.Anyone had similar experiences?Thank youSent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
