Tissot has added 3D augmented reality technology to its website, allowing visitors to try on virtual watches in 3D and to interact with features on the brand’s pioneering Touch collection. When visitors hold their wrist in front of their webcam, they see themselves “wearing” virtual 3D watches in real time. 28 watch variations from the Touch collection are available to try on, including the new Sailing-Touch, T-Touch Expert and Sea-Touch. Beyond seeing how the watch looks on their wrist, visitors can experiment with the touch screen features of the watches, including the diver functionality of the Sea Touch and the altimeter, meteo (barometer), compass and thermometer of the wider ranges. Videos showcasing the features of each style run alongside the visual of the watch on the wearer¡¯s wrist. Recently inherited a Patek Philippe, advice requested.
First post here, be gentle!I recently inherited my grandfather's Patek Philippe, 3514. It was his daily wearer, and it's in pretty good condition considering he had it on his wrist pretty much every day since he bought it in the 60s.I'm not sure of how he maintained it, but I've been told by a few people that automatic watches of this age should be services every couple years. It's currently keeping good time, but I'm wondering if I should bring it into a shop for service (I'm not sure what that entails, even).It also has some marks on the face, under the crystal. Is it worth having someone look at that, or will any work there make this an unoriginal piece?

Are you the go-to guy/gal for watch questions among your peers?
Since my colleagues learned of my interest in watches, I'm the go to guy for watch questions amongst the group at work. We are spread out across the country so when we get together for meetings, I'm often overwhelmed with questions about watches. While it's quite fun to see the passion ignite in a non-watch person, I also get numerous calls with questions like, "my Submariner stopped. How long to I have to shake my wrist to get it moving again?" I almost recommended he buy a GMT watch as a reminder that end of business day in Seattle is dinner time for me in Boston.Once you get past the "it cost HOW much?" it is enjoyable sharing my knowledge with others [when prompted]. There are nine members of my division. Since ~June of last year, my colleagues have purchased a SS Sub, a TT sub, black dial Explorer II and an Omega 2254.50!! I had a hand in all four transactions. I sent/emailed the guys website links, images and old catalogs (I can't seem to throw away the nicely printed catalogs).
