This link was e-mailed to me by one of my friends who is also a big watch aficionado and a Patek Philippe fan.In History’s Lost and Found, One Soldier’s WatchCredits:New York Times By AUSTIN CONSIDINE Published: June 22, 2011Truly a touching story and certainly makes one appreciate the product as well as the brand....but most importantly, the people behind it all.....
Just finished my review of the Diver on the Watch Reviews (Non-Rolex) section of TRF. Enjoy the read!!! https://.rolexforums/showthread.php?t=234019
I took my Chrono sextant (quartz movement) to my local watch shot for a full service and they told me the watch was very complicated and it would cost $700 for the full service. My Rolex with automatic movement service from the same shop was $500. Does that seem high to anyone else?
Question, does this bracelet fits/measure my SO?Like to hear from you,
If you think of it, a lot of us here consider it a privilege to get the mighty call to go spend $12k+ for a daytona or to be honored to make it to the blessed waiting list for a $10k hulk!!!It should really be the other way around!! When I¡¯m spending $10k on an unnecessary item (luxury and completely unnecessary) paying premium, where the dealer is making upwards of 40% off of me I would expect to be treated with utmost respect not the stories I read here about dealers keeping those pieces for their ¡°favorite¡± customers!! I understand the supply and demand and might understand keeping supply less (slightly) than demand to keep value but what¡¯s doing on now is crazy!! Unless Rolex messed up big time estimating their production volume for the year, they are going out of business (highly doubt it) or have a sadistic CEO I don¡¯t get it!!But for ADs to supply grey market and deprive high paying customers that I do not get at all!!!I¡¯m just mmmmaaaaaaaddddddd There isn¡¯t any unnecessary item
