Dior cd112113m002 wrist watches news:
The week after the official availability date of the Apple Watch, while many are trying to formulate an opinion after having tried or received the new smartwatch, Audemars Piguet, one of the few remaining family-owned, independent watchmaking giants held a master watchmaking class in the center of Silicon Valley, San Francisco.Having taken part in various watch industry events, I sort of knew to expect a first class glitzy affair, as luxury brands tend to offer to their precious clientele. What I did not expect, however, was the intimate level of attention to detail that was prepared for attendees of this event and the hands on, one-on-one activities we took part in during the entire four-hour event.Michael Friedman's vintage AP Royal Oak "Jumbo" A-series reference 5402STFirst off, it's important to understand that AP has held similar watchmaking events in various cities across the world. However, this was, to my knowledge, the first time it was being held in San Francisco or in the Si
Hey all,I was browsing the Rolex website today & found this site:rolex/en/#/en/xml/ins...rfection/indexThere's 5 short movies there - maybe 1-2 minutes each. Not sure if their new, but I hadn't seen them before. The cover:The movementParachrom hairspringEverose goldCeramic bezel904L steelVery informative. If you get a chance, check each one out. I especially liked the Everose, ceramic & 904 ones. The "Ceramic Facts" I posted came from the Ceramic Bezel movie. Also, the 904 shows how the cases are stamped and are polished by a robotic machine. The Everose Gold one shows links for a presidents bracelet being made, and then the bracelet itself being made by another robotic machine. Very cool. And definitely answers the question "are Rolex 100% hand made?" Definitely not (but we knew that didn't we ).
I could not find this watch at any retailer here, not even in the airport in Frankfurt (strange, they didn't have any GMT watch in stock...)I would like to know if I can set the watch so that the hands show the "home time" while the local time (while abroad) is shown on the 24-hour disc. The instructions say that while traveling one has to adjust the hour hand accordingly, but instead I would like to adjust the outer disc.Is this possible? No retailer was able to answer that question.
As of July 1st, "any refused estimates will be invoiced at $120" and "repairs on vintage timepieces have a minimum price of $1,200".Steve
Dissapointed on the 16610 i bought a PO but the bezel turns both ways.......
