Samsung Gear S Introduces Curved Screens To Smartwatches
Announced today, the Samsung Gear S smartwatch heralds in a few additional features and specs to the Korean electronic giant's quickly growing smartwatch collection of products. Samsung has taken a decidedly "un-Apple-like" approach to their development of smartwatches by releasing pretty much every iteration of their smartwatch products in fast succession, versus waiting and tweaking until they have what they feel is "just right." The approach has helped Samsung gain a lot of notoriety for being first in a lot of categories, but reviews and media response to their smartwatches are lukewarm at best in many instances.On the plus side, each new connected watch that Samsung releases appears to be an improvement on the last generation. Hi Everyone! I am generally am IWC guy, but am strongly considering a Panerai for my next big purchase. Basically I am curious if what I'm looking for even exists. I'm going to list what I'm looking for in a Panerai and please tell me if it even exists.Must be:LuminorBlack PVD CaseBlack Leather StrapAutomaticBlack DialAs far as complications go I really don't care if it is a powere reserve, gmt, etc. I realize there is a special edition PAM 28, which is limited to 1000 pieces which has all of these features I'm looking for, but I really don't care about getting a limited edition. I'd rather get a reg production one and not pay the limited edition price. Anyway not even sure if what I'm looking for exists, but I'd love to hear from you guys if it does and which model it is. One of the main reasons I am an avid watch collector is I appreciate the skill, craft, imagination and intensive labour that is required to create a high-end, accurate and reliable mechanical movement. Everywhere you look today our portable gadgets, of which wrist watches can be considered, are powered by batteries. I like the fact that the mechanical watch movement possesses the ability to power itself (or is hand wound) by utilising the same fundamental components, power source and technology of 400 years ago. The more complications a mechanical movement has the better. Although, the more the complications the movement has the pricier, is sadly true. Exponentially true in fact.Therefore, I will happily concede that there are those people that do not care about such romanticisms. They want a watch to do a job. They are willing to pay for quality and reliability but if something else can offer the same functions with better accuracy, for less, then all the better.This is one reason why
