My name's Joe and I joined this site after seeing John's very informative and interesting RolexReference page.I was particularly impressed by the recent article comparing the 116613 and the 16613.I have a special request for John or anyone else who might be willing. I know that the new two tone Subs and GMTs are using solid gold, while the previous models used hollow links (excluding end links.)I am trying to determine exactly how much of a difference in gold there is between the old bracelets and the new ones. This would be fairly easy to obtain for anyone who owns any ceramic two tone and its predecessor. If someone who owns both watches removes the bracelet from the case, and removes the clasp from the bracelet, then determines the difference in weight between these two bracelets, we will know exactly how much extra gold we're getting in the upgraded bracelets. This is something that I'm extremely curious to know. If anyone who could do this would be willing to, many many thanks on be
Hi this is my first post and would welcome any input on the following watch:I recently was given an omega constellation watch which first appeared to be dead and of no further use. But on inspection it isn't drawer fodder. The watch works but has a couple of issues 1. one of the numerals has come away from the dial and 2. if you tap the edge of the bezel the min hand will slip. (if kept on a surface it keeps time all day)I took it into a watch repairers today to get some info and to have the back plate taken off( i don't have the tool for this and didn't want to scratch it).So far i have researched that it is an omega constellation ...case no. 2652-22sc, cal .354 and movement no 1315618.date wise 1952 to 1953 18ct gold capped bezel, bumper mechanism, sweeping second hand, observatory in gold on the back plate with stars .The watch repairers first words out of his mouth were 'its an old one' and 'genuine omega' which the numbers agree. The odd point is that everything is the same as oth

Is it already known when/where the next Patek Philippe fair with limited edition watches is taking place? Or perhaps other special pieces like in the 175th anniversary collection.
