Ebel 1216014 wrist watches news:
By putting out exceptional timepieces and providing some of the best customer service in the business, Stowa, under the helm of J?rg Schauer, has built up an unshakeable reputation within the WIS community. Schauer, who acquired the struggling company from the founding Storz family in 1996, recognized the inherent beauty of the brand's heritage. As such, he envisioned Stowa's current lineup by looking to the past, bringing back into production modern versions of Stowa's historical timepieces. Among the watches to return was the Flieger series. In 1939, Stowa launched production of their flieger (pilot) watches for the German Luftwaffe (air force). They were one of five companies to do so, the other four being IWC, Wempe, Laco, and Lange & S?hne. Despite its connection to one of history's darkest periods, the flieger remains an important marker in horology, and the design has endured countless iterations to become one of the most recognizable and homaged styles of all time. This year NOMOS Glashütte announced that they were releasing a 39 mm version of the Lambda watch, which had originally launched in 2013 to acclaim but also a certain amount of concern from the NOMOS faithful (and if you’re a NOMOS owner you know what we mean – there is a level of emotional investment that NOMOS wearers feel with the company that’s pretty unusual for any luxury watch brand, and especially unusual at the big-bang-for-the-buck segment that NOMOS generally occupies). The great thing about NOMOS has always been that though they offer one of the best value propositions in the biz, that’s not why people buy them as a general rule – you buy them because all the parts (the in-house movement, great design, well-crafted sense of irony they project) all go to form a whole that is greater than the sum of its parts. 1 OF 9 So when NOMOS put out a twenty thousand dollar gold watch with a pretty fancy-schmancy movement in it (a hand en
Sorry the quality isn't very good, it's just a late night test of what I can do with Photoshop. What do you think?
Well I got bored with my Batman GMT-IIC and I decided I wanted to try something else so I did a deal with a local guy that had a listing and traded up to a Mint AP ROO Diver. I love the watch and I'm glad I did the trade.
This morning I received the call from my AD that they had a 5712/1A for me. Needless to say my pace of incomings this year have been much more frequent than normal but there is no way I was going to pass on this one. I stopped by on Aug 7th after getting back from holiday to let them know I would be interested when one came in. So, i was super surprised to get the call today 9 days after requesting it. I really love the dial color as well as the asymmetrical dial and itĄ¯s probably the most unique dial of any watch I own and i donĄ¯t think I will ever get bored looking at it. The micro rotor is a very nice touch on this piece as well because to me the movement on the back compliments the asymmetry of the dial. The bracelet is super comfortable although impossible to actually get off.
