If It Doesn't Indicate Swiss Is It Not Swiss?
I've been going through a bunch of watches to refurbish them and typically when I have a Swiss made or Swiss parts watch it is stamped on the movement.I have a ladies Belair with Cal. 69-2 but other than "Seventeen 17 Jewels" there are no other markings.After searching I found other 69-2's that were described as Swiss but had no markings. Working watches are asking in the $50 range.How do I determine whether it's Swiss or not if there is no stamp? I had the chance to see this watch. It's amazing. I always loved the 5070 and I can tell you that this one in Platinum is the most beautifull watch I've ever seen.I don't know how many of those will be made not enough :) :) :)Anyway, I won't forget this watch pretty soon. Cape cod polishing cloths... ??
Alright, so Ive read most everywhere that these cape cod cloths are the best thing to use on polished stainlessyet I am still very hesitant. I want something I can use to polish the bezel on my Hammy, but the scratches that exist there are very light. VERY light. They are all hairline, and I assume they are from coarse threads inside my shirts, or who knows! But regardless, I worry that using a polishing cloth on such light scratches will only scratch it further. I think of a polishing cloth with abrasive material on it as something you use when you want to take out more serious stuff. But I suspect Im wrong, since everyone swears by these things...Point is, Id like to know if these will return my bezel to near new status; mirror finish. Thanks guys!

Upgrading the Explorer 214270
It's possible that a similar thread has been posted on this forum but I searched and didn't find anything. Anyway, here's my question. If one has the older version of the explorer I with the MK1 dial and shorter hands is it possible to upgrade to the MK2 dial with longer hands? If so, does the watch have to be sent to a RSC or can it be done at an AD? Has anyone done this? If so, how much did it cost? I have an explorer I with a MK1 dial and I'm really happy with it, short(er) hands and all, but I'm curious as to what options I have. Thanks, Robert

So i currently have an Air-King 114200 and IÖª wanting to trade up for a Sub. IÖÂe been trying to research them, but IÖª wondering if anybody has any advice or suggestions while I look. IÖª leaning date...but havenÖÉ fully committed on that either. IÖÂe spotted a couple 11610³Õ with box and papers within my budget....but again, IÖª open to thoughts and ideas. Thanks
