Well, unfortunately this watch I picked up awhile back, which was in excellent external and internal condition, loses time....a lot. I had a local watchmaker (who is Omega trained I believe) check it out and I was told that one thing affects another, and that it would be cost prohibitive to fix. He's a great guy who's done me favors in the past. So..I'm left wondering what to do with this watch. The movement, a '70 marked 11anacd, looks pristine but if I recall he mentioned there was a problem with the cannon pinion and a related part that was causing it to lose time. I'm wondering if I should search out another similar movement, or perhaps another Bulova movement with the same dimensions; and from the same time period, that'll fit the case. Perhaps a mechanical instead of an automatic? Would that be heresy to change type of movements? Opinions, options, let's here it please. I'm at a loss of what to do with this nice looking watch.I'll update later with a pic or two, but I be
