- I liked the watch, very nice design. One thing though, its too thick for me. The site does not show it unfortunately as the picture is only front view. I had to return as the watch feels too for my wrist.

Ebel 183903 wrist watches news:
This Longines classic is a watch elegant and attractive, even with its simple look. This watch really looks like a classic especially with its smooth round shape of 18 carat gold case. This case is put in correspondence with a Brown crocodile strap to complement its classic and elegant look.
I have an original Reef Ranger that developed a problem with the crown not screwing down all the way or seating properly. I own other watches with screw-down crowns, so I know to be cautious about the threads crossing etc. I have it wrapped up and in my safe, so it has not been exposed to the elements (or submerged in water). Without a good recommendation from someone I know/ trust, I tend to be suspicious of jewelery stores who also claim to do watch repairs.I have taken it to 2 different jewelers: One said it could be stripped threads, needing either a new crown, a stem tube, or both. Another tried to tell me that there essentially wasn't anything wrong with it (unbelievable). I live in the Houston, TX area, and I wanted to know if anyone has any recommendation on a reputable watch repair person I might use. I really don't even mind the idea of shipping the watch to someone, so long as they are trustworthy and the repair doesn't cost as much as the watch cost me when new.
Hi All Just saw Apollo 18 movie, was ok but I saw some great Speedy on velcro shots. Cheers and blessed weekend. DG
Who do you guys recommend for straps? I had a couple made from the Strap Smith a few years back but I find they are thicker than I like to wear. I have larger wrist and although the XL OEM straps fit they seem just a bit lopsided and are hard to come by. I've seen straps from Dangerous9straps and they look like good work but after a few emails trying to place an order he just stopped writing. I would rather someone point me in the right direction than to keep trying at a few hundred a pop. Thanks
I'm finally in a position to purchase my first Rolex and I'm having a hard time picking between the 36 mm Oyster Perpetual and the no-date Sub. I love both for different reasons (the OP's simplicity and the Sub's classic look), but I suppose the choice really comes down to whether the Sub is worth the extra 2K over the OP. If anyone owns either of these watches I'd love to hear your thoughts on using it as a daily timepiece. Thanks!
