Emporio Armani AR1878 wrist watches news:
Wednesday in Givrins, Switzerland at the Corinna Schumacher CS Ranch, Audemars Piguet unveiled its latest concept watch: the Audemars Piguet Royal Oak Concept Laptimer Michael Schumacher. Scroll down to learn more.In late 2010, F1 legend and Audemars Piguet ambassador Michael Schumacher posed an apparently simple question to the engineers at Audemars Piguet: would it be possible to create a mechanical wristwatch that would?make it possible to measure?consecutive lap times? This would be the first time a “brand ambassador” influenced the creation of a brand’s grand complication model and the creation of a?completely?new movement, at least for Audemars Piguet. The?Concept watch took?five years from conception to the final prototype, which is the world¡¯s first luxury watch to feature two angular indexing systems on a single chronograph, each with an independent “memory.”Unlike a split-seconds chronograph, in which both seconds hands run?simultaneously?until th
Swiss luxury goods group Richemont has announced its audited results for the year ending March 31, 2009. Overall group sales increased 2 percent, however good growth in the first six months was largely offset by lower sales in the second half of the year. For the group as a whole, operating profit declined 12%. Richemont’s specialist watchmakers saw sales increase 4% over the prior year, from €1,378,000,000 to €1,437,000,000. Sales of IWC, Vacheron Constantin and Jaeger-LeCoultre were particularly strong. All of Richemont’s long-held Maisons were profitable. However, the group incurred charges relating to the purchase of Roger Dubuis and the cost of a second SIHH in the same fiscal year. Operating results for the specialist watchmakers were €287 million versus €374 million for the prior year, reflecting a decline of 23%. The new joint venture with Polo Ralph Lauren had no impact on sales.Richemont’s specialist watchmakers include IWC, Vacheron Constantin, Jaeger-LeCou
As of late, Longines has augmented its Heritage line with multiple vintage-inspired pieces. Earlier this year, it unveiled the 35mm Conquest that paid homage to the 60th anniversary of its timeless design. Then, a few months later, Longines released the Heritage diver, which was a tribute to dive watches that it produced in the '60s. Now, Longines takes flight with yet another vintage-inspired piece that is titled the Twenty-Four Hours Single Push-Piece Chronograph.According to Longines, The Twenty-Four is a re-imagining of one of Longines' pilot watches from the 1950s (and is on display at the Longines museum in St. Imier). As the name suggests, this is a 24-hour watch, and one whose design Longines has executed quite tastefully. To us, however, it's really a re-imagining of two 20th-century pilots watches combined into one, both of which can be seen in our?Talking Watches with Alfredo Paramico. 2 OF 4 This new piece is like someone has taken the 24-hour nature of the Sw
So I bought my Vostok Europe N1 Rocket back in October of last year. It worked great up until April when I noticed the hour hand was off...kept landing half way between the numbers and I couldn't take it...it just bugged me too much. I suspect this happened because of the way you change the date on these going back and forth between 8pm and 12am. Anyway, I bought the watch from Russia2All and they use Watch-O-Mat for all their warranty work. I boxed up the watch(with the pre paid package they sent me) and sent it in in early May. Checked the Watch-O-Mat site daily for updates weekly and saw just a few weeks ago that the statsu had changed from recieved to assigned so was hoping to get it back soon. The mail man surprised me with a package today and low and behold my Vostok was back. Unrwapped it and realized it wasn't my watch fixed....it was a BRAND NEW N1 Rocket. I would have been happy with mine fixed but a new one is JUST FINE WITH ME too. They sent a much better looking
As I've begun to travel the world a bit more, I've realized the impracticality of wearing a luxury watch in certain situations. While ideally I'd take my Explorer on all my travels, it's just not realistic for me personally. That being said, what do you use as a cheap beater watch?
