Ferrari FE-10-IPB-CG-FC-FC wrist watches news:
i used to think that the Chromometer thing was just for comercial purpose.but after my Seamaster has been running +1 secs/day for 1 month, now i undertand that a Chronometer is a superior timepiece in terms of accuracy and durability, so it should cost more.also my Rolex Daytona is a Chronometer two, i didnt noticed it cuz i only wear it on special ocations, but after 7 years without any service, it has been running +2.5 secs/day.for now on i will se a COSC watch as a superior one.of course, never a Chronometer by Lalo.thanks.
A few weeks ago I purchased my first Omega, a used SMP midsize. It came with a white outer box, an Omega red box, a red leather card holder, some booklets and an unsigned international warranty card. I'm not certain the box is correct for this watch. The medallion on the box lid is gold as is the word Omega embossed on the inside of the lid. The watch is in excellent condition, not so for the box. The finish is worn in many places. Even casual handling seems to easily mar the box and the leather card holder. Is this typical for an original box? The warranty card is blank it shows a hologram and the number 5340. Is there any significance to this number? Any information would be appreciated.Thank you.
I think I've gotten a feel now for what I really like in a watch, and it has surprised me.What gets the most wrist time now are a Debaufre Triton, a Seiko Premier Kinetic with separate power reserve indicator, a Seiko Kinetic GMT, and a Seiko Kinetic Arctura. I still have my 1995 Tissot quartz, late 80's Seiko SQ100 moon phase, my mood Mickey and my G-Shock. For dressier occasions I have a vintage Benrus being revitalized by a WTF member and I'm working on a vintage Bulova deal with another WTF member. The only thing I feel I'm missing is a chronograph (the G-Shock has a chrono function, I think, but I'd like a nicer, non beater one). The most interesting thing about these ramblings? Everything could change at any time!Any suggestions for an affordable non-diver chrono? How about the Sea Gulls? Affordable vintage? Maybe a quartz Hamilton Jazzmaster or a Seiko Kinetic?I guess it's obvious I've become very fond of Seiko Kinrtic...Any comments welcome and any recommendations appreciated!
Seems my ROC has managed to get one of the link screws loose and it back out a bit.1) What size screwdriver do I need to tighten it back?2) Should I use something on the pins like loctite?Basically I am really concerned that if this happens again, the watch would go flying off my wrist and I will have a heart attack. Thanks
Currently have a 42 mm Planet Ocean 2201.50, 2500 caliber, which I really like. Accurate, looks great. Am very attracted to the Breitling Colt, 44mm, blue dial, blue rubber/composite strap. I'm torn, as I really like my Omega...other than just itching for a change, any good reason to flip out the Planet Ocean and pick up the Colt? And having both isn't an option. Thanks for your opinions.
