Ferrari FER00011 wrist watches news:
Spent a miserable weekend in airports this past weekend, including my favorite, (sarcasm) LAX. I always "watch" the watches folks are wearing around me, and counted zero pilots wearing Breitlings. In fact, it seemed most were wearing plastic digital watches. Now, I began to think back over the years, as a frequent flyer, and I can't remember ever seeing a pilot wearing one, though I've seen a number of passengers wearing them. It would seem that more of us "wannabes" wear them than pilots! (Certainly, I'm not naive enought to think that no pilots wear them, I just haven't seen any) Wonder what the reason is behind this...
Okay guys we love our AP's and are always on the look out for the next one. Let's hear what is your next AP on the wanted to purchase wish list and why? I will start either the concept carbon or a stainless steel tourbillion. why, because both the watches are mesmerising to look at. Let's hope the wife does not stumble on this thread!
What do you guys think of this? I hadn't given it much thought until reading the discussion on purists pro. It doesn't seem like a good move reissuing a discontinued watch, especially one produced in such small numbers, as those existing owners have a watch that is now not as rare. The numbers of the new watch are small, but I think it's a matter of principle and I think Patek is in danger of losing more trust. On the other hand, the price of the new ones are so high, it might in turn push the prices up of the original models. So what do you think, should Patek have done this?
Hello TRFers,Today when I got my Milgauss 116400GV out of the watch box, pull the crown out to wind the watch, I notice that there was a problem. The watch was not winding, it did not go to the first position when the watch is unscrewed instead it goes straight to the second position of hacking. I have 2 questions for you guys.1) Will this be covered under the Rolex warranty?2) How do you send a watch to Rolex? Can you do so by going to a AD?Any help would be appreciated
Ignoring the obvious price difference, which is a more versatile watch for a first time Rolex owner?
