The white gold 3 piece case is set with 571 stones totaling 14.15 carats, and the dial adds another 164 diamonds and 5.17 carats. The clasp, crown and hands add the remaining carat, give or take. The automatic caliber 25A tourbillon movement is composed of 238 components with 29 jewels (not diamonds) with a 168 hour power reserve. If you have to ask, the price is $1,342,700.

IWC buying tips
Hi, I've recently came into the market for a nice classy watch to wear with a suit, and in the end pretty much decided on an IWC - somewhat lowkey (than Rolex/Omega), but very respectable brand. I want to pay less for the brand and more for the quality.So in the end I've decided on the IWC Portuguese Chrono Automatic with the steel case and gold lettering inside. I went to the Tourneau Timemachine (AD) in NYC and they wanted to charge me the retail $6800 and offered the $500 buckle to buckle 3yr warranty (warranties against breakage, new strap every 6 months, etc.). The thing is, I've been researching that watch for a while and I can get it online for about $4800 (Jomashop), and most retailers sell it for around $5500. Why should I pay upwards of $2000 to get it from an AD? I read here that IWC doesn't have a lot of ADs and doesn't discount much, but I seem to see it everywhere on the internet for less. 5711 vs 5712 can someone experienced please elaborate?
I've been searching for the impossible to find 5711 and was offered several opportunities to order a 5712. I wanted to ask the experts here what the primary differences are between the 5711 and 5712 besides aesthetics. The date and seconds hand have their own dials on the 5712 and a power reserve can be seen on a dial. There is a moon phase but it seems like that is the only functional difference between the two watches. Can someone educate me on any other major differences I'm missing? (Difference in movement, power reserve, etc.)
