I'm not the most computer astute person in the group, so perhaps one of you can help. I almost never get to see the photos that are posted in the messages. One for the Ladies ! ! !
I just got this 1950 Ladies Bulova back together today. This one kind of got side tracked but my anniversary is coming up in about a week so I got my butt in gear. I did this one for my fianc�� Tiffany, she loves the antique watches that I work on so I fixed one up for her. The 21 jewel movement is keeping great time now, new glass crystal, original band and I just had the dial refinished. The dial was in pretty bad shape when I bought this Bulova so I sent it to International. Now that I have taken some pictures I see that I still have some crystal cement to remove around the edges and a few more scratches to remove as well. All said I am pleased with the way it turned out. Think she'll like it ? ? ?

Accuracy - what is acceptable
Ok people. Here is the question. You just spent a chunk of money on a mechanical timepiece, which will never be perfectly accurate. But what is an acceptable accuracy before you send the piece back for adjustment.?Oris owners manual actually says NOT to send back the watch if it's within +/- 30 seconds per day.I've always thought that +/- 20 seconds per day was tolerable. Sea-Dweller 4000 now with glossy dial?
I was at AD today as I'm visiting Europe and the store manager (who sold me a SD4000 2 yrs ago) told me to hold on to that old model because he said Rolex is switching to glossy dial on it?! He didn't have one in stock to inspect.Anyone heard or seen anything about this?
