Oiling non-jewel Bullseye
I have a 1960 Bull's Eye pocket watch. Its been sitting in a drawer for many years and probably could use a cleaning and oiling. The pocket watch has no jewels that I can see. The watch runs great. What would be a good oil to use on a watch that has no jewels? Would a synthetic with Teflon work? I read that slick 50 synthetic has Teflon and works well as a spring lube. Seiko 5H23 quartz movement
I have an 80's Mickey Mouse watch which has died. Local Seiko center says that parts are no longer available for this and cannot help. . I really don't want to throw Mickey in the trash, does anyone know where I might be able to get a new movement or get the watch repaired? Searches online seem to indicatethat the 5H is going to be difficult/impossible to find! Thanks guys!

I've been half tempted to temporarily stray from my Swiss/Japanese automatic strategy.This Chinese tourbillon, Sea-Gull based, features a date display and a working moon phase, plus, the dial actually looks very nice.
