- Nice watch, but too for my 13 year old sons wrist. The face is ger than I thought it would be. It appears durable. The clasp is and can catch on other things. My son likes it, so that's what matters.

Breitling c49350L2/a706-1rd wrist watches news:
or Windy's gonna kill me if she finds out how much I've been spending on "old watches" lately. I really wasn't looking for another watch after snagging the AP. Then an evil enabler called me to blow me out of the water with the Seamaster Pie Pan 355 so I had to have that too. That should have been it since I went WAY over budget to get that, and was happy as a dog in a butcher shop to do it. Well, the Watch Gods either love me and are shining good fortune uponst me in my quest to finish my collection of bumper 35x movements, or they hate me and want to cause my financial demise. I can't figure out which yet, but in the mean time I'll share the gem they guided me to - a '54 reference 2799 Constellation De Luxe caliber 354 in near mint condition:Usually it takes time to track one of these down, but I'm having a hall of fame spring so it figures this would pop up. A quick phone call to the unnamed evil enabler, a brief e-mail session with Desmond (because I will NOT buy a Connie wit
Had a couple minutes this afternoon, so I snapped a few pics...
I need some restoration work on the case of my vintage [1975] Rado - it will definitely require polish and perhaps some plating to take care of small chip/ding. A local watchmaker recommended I send it to SGUS located in Secaucus, NJ. Does anyone around here have any previous dealings/experience with these folks?
I saw and tried on a 5960p blue dial in the real yesterday. A stunning piece. It gave me an itch, so do I scratch? A little background. I have been on an exploratory mission to find a PM watch, and during the search, I've come to realize that I am more of a white metal guy than yellow. And, I also realized that I want a platinum watch over white gold, which obviously limits the selection, yet there are still some incredible choices (e.g. 5960p). I am in no rush, but is the 5960p blue dial a piece that is hard to find, and therefore, should I consider it more since I have the opportunity? In order to obtain the 5960p, which is at an AD, I would need to do some flipping plus layout some $$$. I would flip my 5712/1a (my first PP and one I do enjoy a lot) and my 5167a (my second PP, and one I like but don't love, so I'm considering to use it as currency for my next purchase) plus cash for the 5960p blue dial. My collection would be down to 3 watches, with the other 2 being a SDc and a SS D
Long story short, I'm considering at buying 7 of either the WG Oysterflex Daytona (ref. 116519LN) or the WG blue Submariner (ref. 116619LB) (and no, they wouldn't all be for me...). The first question I had was on pricing - it seems like 20% on PM models is fairly standard, but do you think it would be reasonable to shoot for more given the quantity that I'm buying? Also, I've wanted the SS Daytonas for quite a while and think it would be reasonable to ask to get both a white and black dial within a reasonably short timeframe (a few months). I haven't yet discussed this with the AD, but they know that I want a Daytona and said that an order like this would move me higher on the list. This sort of response shocked me a bit -- I feel like asking for both, let alone just one, in this scenario isn't that ridiculous, but I wanted to hear what you all thought. Thanks!EDIT: They don't have these in stock, but said they could order pretty easily with delivery in ~2 months.
