Panerai PAM 196 wrist watches news:
Seeing there is no official AP forum, I think this may be the best place to ask the following:Which RO to choose?15202 or 15400?On the one hand, the 15202 has the original 2121 movement and that has the closest specs to the ones released in 1972. But as good as that movement is, the 3120 in the 15400 is often times referee to as "the greatest of all time"Plus it's dimensions are not far off and is significantly cheaper. But money/cost aside? Is there a clear cut winner between these two obviously gorgeous watches? And I'm keeping it to these two models because I'm focused on the classic original design...
Hey All:This is the UTC version of the Chrono I posted earlier this week. Brian S pointed it out in the thread and I figured I'd give it a post.details and pic from watchbuysAll TegimentedThis watch is far more than simply a black version of the standard Sinn U2. When Sinn first introduced the U Diver's Series two years ago, the most requested feature was an all Tegimented watch (the standard U models feature a Tegimented bezel).Sinn has been hard at work over the last year to develop two watches that feature a Tegimented bezel, case, crown and case back, the first of which is the new Sinn U1000 and the second this watch. The new Sinn U2 Black is constructed from the same steel that is used on the outer hull of submarines. The steel was procured by Sinn from a steel supplier to Emden GmbH, one of Germany¡¯s North Sea shipbuilding yards who construct submarines. This submarine steel is not only extraordinarily sea water resistant (PRE value up to 38), it also possesses the highest anti-m

Hey guys any help and comments would be greatly appreciated. My question is: Does anyone have a general idea of the power reserve on a full wind a 1954 Caliber 266 movement has? It has been serviced within the last year. I will enclose a picture of the movement also. Thanks again for your responses. Regards Jason. omega movement.jpg
Lately I've been reading some good nice feel Rolex stories like Jack Nicklaus wearing just one watch, a DD 1803 since 1967.I've also read a story where a man purchased his Rolex (forgot which model) like 50 years ago and that was his only watch. He told stories of significant milestones of his life while wearing the watch - from huge events like his wedding, the birth of his children to as mundane everyday human stories. If you look at his watch, you could actually see and feel that it's been to war and survived the battles. And that makes it special. What makes our watches special? We all have the same watches. There's nothing significant when we bought it because there are hundres of thousand in production out there somewhere in the world. What makes our watch special are the stories and every story is unique. So just recently, I've decided to sell all of my stuff (Rolex, Omegas, Pams, Breitlings, Tags, etc), some were handed off to my wife and I retained only 3 - A Sub date, GMT II an
