Hi All,First I would like to say hello. Being a first time WTF poster. I finally took my first step into what I consider a "decent" quality watch. I thought it might be interesting to document my history of watches, with my outdoor intentions in mind.Being an engineer, into the outdoors, and one that likes to build his own stuff, I have always appreciated the beauty of high end watches. Even though I have researched them, read about them, and was fascinated by many aspects of them, I have avoided anything of significant quality, most because I knew it was a habit I could not afford. First Deployment Installation...
So this past Wednesday, I ordered a deployment clasp for my Wenger (this one):So I get home from work this evening, and it's waiting for me in my mailbox.Cool.So take it out of its' package, and it dawns on me. I begin to sweat. My palms get clammy.I get a tad dizzy.I suddenly realize that, despite being a man of above average intelligence (or so I tell my wife), I have no earthly idea how to put this thing on the watch.But it was easy. Really easy. Truth be told, I had it on the strap before I even knew it came with directions:Man, I love this thing. Inexpensive, and an absolute breeze to install. I don't believe I'll ever have another strap watch with a tang buckle again...

Tissot Powermatic 80 test
Did a weekend test of my Tissot Luxury (their name, not mine) Powermatic 80.I wound it as much as I dared and set it to the time server and let it go on Friday night at 11.On Monday evening, it was still running and it was 1 second off the server. It stopped running at 2pm Tuesday morning. So that means it went 75 hours without winding.One question for you guys, can you over wind a modern watch? And in this case, how can you know when the watch is fully wound? I think I quit winding in fear of breaking it.Of course, accuracy is going to be affected by wearing it, but I thought 1 second over three days was pretty good and it lives up to Tissots claims that the modified 2824 is supposed to be more accurate, even without the COSC tweaks.
