As Hermes fends off attacks from LVMH to retain its independence they also continue to push forward with their prowess as watch makers. For 2011 their horological focal point is the Arceau Le Temps Suspend" watch. That literally means "time suspended," and that is exactly what it does.The watch has been in development for a few years now. The time suspended complication isn't that complicated to understand. The watch normally has the time with a retrograde date display. Press the pusher on the left side of the case and the hands jump to a rigid rabbit eared position.and just stop moving. Need help to choose vingate Omega
Hi , I am total newbie here. To start, I was just thinking of buying a new watch in $500 range and decided to stop by and chat with a local watchmaker here in Vancouver, Canada. After conversation got going, he asked me if I would be interested in a couple of vintage Omega watches he was selling personally. I know nothing about vintage Omegas and would really appreciate any advice, value suggestions, or any other helpful information. Here is what he is offering:1) Omega Geneve automatic with date, circa ?68-?69. Caliber 565, 24 jewels, serial #28XXXXXX, case #166.041 He will replace crystal since the one right now is not the right one, he will put new crown, one year warranty, no bracelet, he is asking around CAD$550.2) Omega Seamaster automatic with date, circa ?56-?57. Caliber 503, 20 jewels, serial #15XXXXXX, case #2849-3. He will replace crystal, clean up the dial a bit, one year warranty, no bracelet, he is asking the same around CAD$550.What do you guys think? I had to jump on the BENRUS Bandwagon ! ! !
I was at the Chapter 3 NAWCC Mart today and I came across this Benrus that looked interesting (also bought a 1930 Bulova w/ a charcoal color dial, 21 jewel and a 17 jewel Ruby stepped case Waltham from 1935). Has a cool looking copper color dial and Moon hands. The dial has a shockproof stamp. It's a 17 jewel model BB14 and it reads AXZ on the swiss movement. I usually would not buy this type of watch but the copper color dial sealed the deal. The number on the case reads 321857. Can you guys help me date this watch? Is this watch all original or have changes been made over the years? Thanks!

PO deployment clasp pin
Hey everyone:I just got a new rubber strap of ebay for my 45.5mm PO and ordered the deployment clasp from Otto Frei, I have never owned or used a watch with a deployment clasp and from what I have seen there is a pin used to attach one on the ends of the strap to the clasp, does anybody know if this needs a special pin or can I use the one of the existing pins from the bracelet or rubber strap (non deployment), that I have,thanks
